OK - so I FINALLY got a Big Shot - LOVE IT!!!!!

I just made up these "Book to Look" pillow boxes using my new Bigz Die!

What is "Book to Look?"

This is a tool I use to help book future workshops from the attending guests at a workshop. You have a captive audience - use it to your fullest advantage! LOL!! I have printed out several items from the current catalog or mini catalog to put inside the boxes - which I can email to you.

Ingredients:

Stamps: One of a Kind stamp set (the little flower)

Ink: Gable Green; Apricot Appeal; Tempting Turquoise

Paper: White Cardstock; Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper

Accessories: White & Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon (17"); Crop A Dile; Rub Ons; 5/8" Celery Grosgrain Ribbon

Details:

Pillow Boxes....

I typed up some items and printed them on White Cardstock (I'll email this out to everyone). I cut them to 2 5/8" x 1 3/4", stamped them with the little flower from the One of a Kind stamp set (it was a perfect match to the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper) and layered onto 2 7/8" x 2" Designer Paper. I die cut the same Designer Paper with the Pillow Box die and Big Shot, placed each little card in the box and tied it wih 17" of grosgrain ribbon - WAAA LAAA!!!!

Container....

I bought some of these containers at Target last year in the dollar spot - always check that out!!! I punched holes in the tin with the Crop-A-Dile and weaved the ribbon through and tied in a knot at the front. Then I used some left over Rub-Ons on the front.

Marketing....

1) I will show this at every workshop - I'll take one of the rub-ons and demonstrate putting it on the tin.

2) Then I'll pull out my Crop-A-Dile (as I'm telling everyone how I punched such nice holes in the tin) and pass it around with a lid from a tin can, so everyone can see how easy it is to punch through tin!!!

3) Next I'll explain what's in the Pillow Boxes, tell everyone that they can pick one if they would like to host a workshop and pass the tin around for everyone to see and hopefully choose a Pillow Box! I will then keep the tin next to me when people are checking out so I that I can again ask them if they'd like to host a workshop and win what's inside the Pillow box????

All this will take no more that 5 minutes...........what did I get out of this?

This is what I got:

1) I have excited my guests by wanting to win something free from the Pillow Boxes - thus booking a workshop (Booking Statement).

2) I have shown them and actually allowed them to use the Crop-A-Dile, without demo'ing it on a project.

3) I've shown my guests the Pillow Box die cut - and told them what a great treat or gift box this would make for any upcoming events and the HOLIDAYS!

4) I've shown them the value of our wonderful double-sided Designer Paper without incorporating it into my workshop make-n-takes!

5) I've shown them our BEAUTIFUL 5/8" and 1/4" Grosgrain ribbons -without incorporating it into a project!

6) I've shown them that the flower from the One of a Kind stamp set matches the Rainbow Sherbet Designer Paper!

7) I've shown them the value of our Die-Cuts - and make a statement that they don't have to buy little treat or gift boxes - the Pillow Box is the perfect size for a pair of earrings or necklace!

Remember - 5 minutes max on all this stuff and I've shown every guests a ton of "up-sells" and didn't have any of these item expenses in my Make-N-Takes! You want to show as many of our accessories as possible at a workshop without taking a ton of time or increasing your expense!

Notice in the 1st photo above, that I have a craft stick in this bin. It also has a piece of leftover Rub-Ons tucked in there - I will demo how the rub-ons work and then pass the bin around for everyone to feel, smell, hug! LOL
